On the BSE Sensex, Bajaj Finance, Asian Paints and Bharti Airtel emerged as the top performers with notable gains

On Friday, Indian equity markets ended on a negative note, while both Small-Cap index and Mid-Cap index performed negatively. On the BSE Sensex, Bajaj Finance, Asian Paints and Bharti Airtel emerged as the top performers with notable gains, while JSW Steel, IndusInd Bank and Larsen & Toubro emerged as the top market draggers.

The following Penny Stocks are likely to be in focus on Monday, August 28, 2023:

Visagar Polytex- Heavy buying was witnessed in the counter as the scrip zoomed and got locked at 20 per cent upper circuit, recording an intraday high of Rs 1.25 per share on NSE. The scrip witnessed some profit booking and closed 4.76 per cent up at Rs 1.10 apiece on BSE. Visagar Polytex Ltd is in the business of manufacturing and selling of textiles and readymade fabrics.

Vodafone Idea- The scrip experienced significant buying activity, resulting in the stock surging more than 11 per cent, reaching an intraday high of Rs 8.65 per share on NSE. Vodafone Idea is one of the telecom service providers in India and is engaged in the business of mobility and long-distance services, trading of handsets and data cards.

Reliance Communications- A solid price volume breakout was seen at the counter today as the stock rallied and got locked at 5 per cent upper circuit to record an intraday high of Rs 1.30 per share on NSE. Reliance Communications Ltd own and operates IP enabled connectivity infrastructure comprising of fibre optic cable systems.
