Nifty 50 and BSE Sensex closed above the levels of 16,200 & 54,300, respectively.

The shares of telecom, realty & autos were in demand while IT, Teck, and FMCG stocks dragged the market down.

On Thursday morning the markets opened marginally lower, owing to weaker global cues. 

Crude oil price decreased slightly and was trading at USD 120 per dollar, whereas Gold prices also increased by 3 per cent. The Nasdaq was down by 1.32 per cent at market close on Wednesday, whereas the Asian markets also mimicked the weaker sentiments and were trading 0.50 per cent lower 

The market is trading in favour of advances. Currently, the advance to decline ratio stands as 253:140.

All the sectoral indices ended positively with Nifty IT and Nifty Realty gaining nearly 3 per cent each.

All sectoral indices are on a bull run today with IT stocks leading the pack. While significant gains were also seen in Realty, Oil & Gas, Auto and Information Technology. The benchmark indices at BSE soared along with broad-based indices. Today the FII net selloff was recorded at Rs -5,045.34 crore and a DII inflow of Rs 3,358.67 crore was recorded.
