Nifty rallied one way after the gap down opening because of global cues. The strong results of index heavy weight stocks like HDFC, Adani enterprises triggered short covering. S&P BSE Sensex jumped 555 points and closed at 61,749 level. Nifty Midcap 100 and Nifty Small cap 100 traded strong for the day to close around 0.58 per cent and 0.79 per cent higher respectively.

Power grid Corp, Nestle Ind and Tata consumer products were the top gainers while Hindalco, Adani ports and Bajaj Auto were the top losers amongst Nifty 50 stocks.

Nifty remained volatile for the day as it witnessed a roller coaster ride. However, it closed around day’s high by rallying strong in the afternoon session at 17,813 level or 0.25 per cent. S&P BSE Sensex finally closed above the technical resistance of falling trendline at 60,300. Nifty Midcap 100 and Nifty Small cap 100 closed in green around 0.15 per cent and 0.46 per cent respectively.

Nifty closed near to opening levels at 17,769 level or 0.15 per cent. S&P BSE Sensex closed to technical resistance of falling trendline at of 60,130. Nifty Midcap 100 closed in red around 0.09 per cent and Nifty Small cap 100 closed in green around 0.51 per cent.

Indices traded in a range bound manner with strong volatility. Nifty recovered about 80 points from the day’s low to close flat.

Nifty closed around 5.7 points or 0.03 per cent in green to close around 17,624 level. S&P BSE Sensex also closed nearly flat with gains of 64 points. Nifty Midcap 100 and Nifty Small cap 100 traded in smaller range for the whole day and closed flat around 0.03 per cent and 0.15 per cent.

Markets traded weak in a small range for the day. Nifty closed around 41.40 points or 0.23 per cent lower to close around the 17,618 level. S&P BSE Sensex also closed lower around 159.21 points. Nifty Midcap 100 and Nifty Smallcap 100 closed flat around 0.09 per cent and 0.10 per cent after profit booking from higher levels respectively.

Nifty closed lower for another day and ended at around 17,660 level, down by 0.26 per cent. S&P BSE Sensex also closed lower by around 183.74 points. Nifty Midcap 100 and Nifty Small cap 100 performed well, gaining 0.76 per cent and 0.29 per cent, respectively.

The Nifty ended in the red today, after nine consecutive positive sessions, closing around 121 points or 0.68% lower at approximately 17,706. The S&P BSE Sensex also closed lower, down around 520 points. However, the Nifty Midcap 100 and Nifty Smallcap 100 rallied by 0.39% and 0.33%, respectively.

After gap down opening indices showed strength and touched yesterday’s day high in the first half of the session. However, Bears came in action which resulted Indices to give up all gains and closed below their opening levels in the latter half of the session.
