Wall Street indices ended lower overnight after the latest Fed rate hike. Mirroring the weakness on Wall Street, the majority of global indices witnessed a downturn.

On BSE the stock touched the upper circuit at Rs 13.76 AND saw a spurt in volume by more than 1.37 times. 

The benchmark indices traded with marginal gains on Wednesday. The shares of New Delhi Television (NDTV) hit an upper circuit limit of 5 per cent after Adani Group launched a takeover bid on the media company.

The shares of Suven Life Sciences soared 12.48 per cent. The company’s board is scheduled to meet on June 24 to consider a proposal of raising funds by way of the issue of equity shares.

In the morning trade, the major equity indices dramatically pared early gains. After falling for the last four trading sessions, the stocks of private banks witnessed some bargain buying. The shares of Ramco Systems jumped over 12 per cent. Besides, the shares of Pearl Polymers surged more than 8 per cent during today’s trading session.  

The Sensex has recovered from the morning losses and is trading higher by 193 points at 53,040 at 11.08 am.
