The BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty-50 indices ended the trading session on Monday in positive territory, with the Sensex up 0.79 per cent at 67,127.08 and the Nifty up 0.73 per cent at 19,965.05. The NSE Nifty-50 Index hits Rs 20,000 mark for the first time ever.

The BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty-50 indices ended the trading session on Thursday in positive territory, with the Sensex up 0.58 per cent at 66,266 and the Nifty up 0.59 at 19,727. A total of 2,240 shares advanced, 1,440 declined, and 127 were unchanged on the BSE.

The BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty-50 indices ended the trading session on Friday in positive territory, with the Sensex up 0.37 per cent at 65,628 and the Nifty up 0.48 at 19,529.

The market capitalization of BSE-listed companies was Rs 3,12,44,273 crore or approx. 312 lakh crore as of September 1, 2023. On the same day, 281 stocks hit a 52-week high, while 22 stocks touched a 52-week low.

The indices in the broader markets were trading higher, with the BSE Mid-cap index up 0.55 per cent and the BSE Small-cap index up 0.83 per cent, respectively. The top mid-cap gainers were Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd and Indian Hotels Company Ltd while the top small-cap gainers were Shakti Pumps (India) Ltd and Atul Auto Ltd.

On Tuesday, at 03:30 pm, indices ended the trading session in green with the BSE Sensex Index up 0.12 per cent at 65,076 and the NSE Nifty-50 Index up 0.19 per cent at 19,343. About 2,071 shares have advanced, 1,521 declined and 156 are unchanged on BSE.  

On Monday, at 03:30 pm, indices ended the trading session in green with the BSE Sensex Index up 0.17 per cent at 64,997 and the NSE Nifty-50 Index up 0.21 per cent at 19,306. About 2,066 shares have advanced, 1,676 declined and 165 are unchanged on BSE.
