In sync with the optimistic global cues, Indian markets opened Friday's trading session on a higher note. Investors also responded to the US Federal Reserve's hawkish remarks on interest rate increases.

A bullish day for Indian equity markets was seen on Thursday. 

The domestic equity barometers continued trading with respectable gains on September 8. 

Salasar Techno Engineering allotted shares via the qualified institutional placement (QIP) route to select foreign portfolio investors (FPI). The construction & engineering company has issued and allotted 3,00,00,000 equity shares with a face value of Re 1 each for Rs 27.30 each. Through the QIP, the company has raised Rs 81.90 crore.  

In the morning trade, the major equity indices are trading higher, close to the day's high.

BSE Smallcap index gained 0.73 per cent and BSE Midcap index climbed 0.46 per cent during Wednesday’s trading session while BSE Sensex struggled to stay in the green.  

The domestic equity barometers traded with a marginal fall on September 7.

When India's main public sector lender i.e. State Bank of India (SBI) does not offer an interest rate higher than 5.65 per cent and the PPF rate is 7.1 per cent, the allure of dividend stocks grows. 

The benchmark indices traded with heavy losses during the morning session.
