Except for BSE Realty, BSE Capital Goods, BSE Consumer Durables and BSE Power, all other sectoral indices are in red.   

Nestle, with gains of 1.7 per cent, is the top-performing Sensex stock, followed by Sun Pharma, which is up by more than 1 per cent. Tech Mahindra and Reliance along with SBI are also trading up by more than 1 per cent each.  

Out of 30 Sensex stocks, almost six have slipped in red with M&M topping the chart of Sensex gainers' list, inching higher by nearly 6 per cent.  

Sensex is up by more than 750 points during the closing hour of today's session even as European markets opened on a mixed note.  

Only six out of 30 Sensex stocks are trading in green with Asian Paints maintaining its top gainer status on Friday.

Lead by Tata Motors, Motherson Sumi, and Amara Raja Batteries, the BSE Auto index is back in green!  

NTPC, GAIL, and Adani Transmission are seen contributing to BSE Utilities index with Nava Bharat Ventures topping the index, winning charts with nearly 12 per cent gains in today's session.  

Broad Put addition was seen in Nifty at 14,800-14,900. The 14,900 strike price saw the addition of 27.77 lakh shares  in open interest while 14,800 strike price witnessed the addition of 15.78 lakh shares.

The darling of value investors, ITC is seen buzzing on the bourses today. The stock is up by nearly 1.8 per cent and it is forming a bullish Marubozu candle, which has no or minimal wicks or shadows. Moreover, the stock has seen an open interest addition of 0.59 per cent in May Futures.   

On the options front’, addition of open interest on the Put option side is seen in a broad range of 14,600-14,700 in today’s session. The 14,600 Put option has seen the addition of more than 40 lakh shares in the open interest, while the 14,600 Call option has shed more than 11 lakh shares in the open interest. The 14,800 Call option strike has seen an addition of 31 lakh shares in the open interest.
