As far as capex spends are concerned, it envisages spending nearly Rs 1,500 crore in FY21. The total expenditure will see an equal split of small molecules and the biosimilars.

The company's production capacity of IPA is already among the highest in the industry. With an installed capacity of 70,000 MTPA, it dominates the industry with a 75 per cent market share in IPA manufacturing.

Overall, with one segment having an adverse forecast and exposure to the commercial vehicle class (38 per cent of total revenues), the outlook is still looking grim for the company. The stock is already trading at its multi-year low.

The tractor segment in India also has a few unlisted players such as Tractors and Farm Equipment (TAFE), International Tractors, CNH Industrial (India). Numbers from these players would further give strength to the sentiment for the overall sector.

While the NTPC group's commercial capacity stood at 52,866 MW at the end of FY19, it was at 51,391 MW in FY18. This indicates that it has recorded a growth of seven per cent CAGR over the past three years.

The plant in Chennai is fully equipped with a total capacity of 6 million wheels. Thus, such an incoming order reflects good revival of the company in post-COVID times.

Its other home consumption products such as ghee and butter have already seen an increase amid the lockdown. Owing to such strong revival hopes, the company aims to achieve pre-COVID business levels within the next few months.

In its FY19 annual report, the company has indicated implementation of 33,870 TPA phosphoric acid plant and 10,000 TPA of hydrazine hydrate plant at Dahej facility, along with this chloromethanes plant.

The official statement of the company further stated that such efforts would support its 1 billion tonne coal production target for FY23-FY24.

During previous month, the company also informed about the manufacturing of its new product i.e. Kraft Paper. The product will have uses in packaging material such as carry bags, business cards, Kraft envelopes, etc.
