At 10 am on Thursday, the core equity indices i.e., Sensex & Nifty 50 were trading higher, owing to strong global cues from the US markets and a reduction in the 10-year treasury yield. Major companies like HCL Technologies, CRISIL, L&T Technology Services, Cyient, ICICI Lombard General Insurance, Nestle India, and Tata Communications are set to announce their Q4 results today.  

At 4 pm on April 20, the benchmark indices, i.e. Sensex and Nifty 50 were trading higher as compared to the previous one. Sensex was trading at 57,037.50, up by 574.35 points or 1.02 per cent while Nifty 50 was trading at 17,136.55, up by 177.90 points or 1.05 per cent. 

On Monday morning the markets fell sharply, as the Asian markets globally plunged by 3 per cent amidst weaker global cues. The International Monetary Fund, on Saturday, said that the war between Russia and Ukraine will have a severe effect on the global economy as the commodities prices have already surged, coupled with the harm to human life and the unprecedented sanctions on Russia. 

At 12.15 pm on Wednesday, the core equity indices i.e., Sensex and Nifty 50 were recovering amidst relaxed oil prices, and the changing political dynamics arising due to the Ukraine-Russia conflict. The Sensex was trading at 57,554.93 up by 254.24 points 0.44 per cent, while Nifty was at 17,162.40, up by 70.20 points or 0.41 per cent from the last trading session.   

At noon on Tuesday, the core equity indices i.e., Sensex and Nifty 50 were seen trading on the greener side. The Sensex was at 57,297.66, up by 891.82 points or 1.58 per cent, while Nifty was at 17,103.95 up by 260.10 points or 1.54 per cent from the last trading session.
