Shares Below Rs 100: Only Buyers Were Seen In These Stocks, Locked in Upper Circuit Today

The BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty-50 indices are trading in the red on Friday with the Sensex down 0.24 per cent at 82,331 and the Nifty-50 down 0.17 per cent at 25,020. About 2,607 shares have advanced, 1,380 shares have declined and 139 shares were unchanged on BSE. The BSE Sensex Index made a new 52-week high of 85,978.25 on September 27, 2024 and the NSE Nifty-50 Index made a new 52-week high of 26,277.35 on September 27, 2024.
The broader markets were in the green territory, with the BSE Mid-Cap Index up 0.85 per cent and the BSE Small-Cap Index up 1.18 per cent. The top mid-cap gainers were Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Ltd, Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd and SJVN Ltd. In contrast, the top small-cap gainers were Nucleus Software Exports Ltd, Paras Defence and Space Technologies Ltd and Titagarh Rail Systems Ltd.
On the sectoral front, the indices traded mixed with the BSE Realty Index and BSE Utilities Index were the Top Gainers while the BSE Teck Index and BSE Focused IT Index were the Top Losers.
As of May 16, 2025, the market capitalisation of BSE-listed companies was approximately Rs 442 lakh crore or USD 5.17 trillion. On the same day, 83 stocks hit a 52-week high while 27 stocks touched a 52-week low.
