Shares Below Rs 100: Only Buyers Were Seen In These Stocks, Locked in Upper Circuit Today

The BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty-50 indices are trading in the red on Tuesday with the Sensex down 1.06 per cent at 81,186 and the Nifty-50 down 1.05 per cent at 24,684. About 1,435 shares have advanced, 2,534 shares have declined and 135 shares were unchanged on BSE. The BSE Sensex Index made a new 52-week high of 85,978.25 on September 27, 2024 and the NSE Nifty-50 Index made a new 52-week high of 26,277.35 on September 27, 2024.

The broader markets were in the red territory, with the BSE Mid-Cap Index down 1.96 per cent and the BSE Small-Cap Index down 0.96 per cent. The top mid-cap gainers were FSN E-Commerce Ventures Ltd, Gland Pharma Ltd and Gillette India Ltd. In contrast, the top small-cap gainers were Tatva Chintan Pharma Chem Ltd, Honda India Power Products Ltd and Newgen Software Technologies Ltd.

On the sectoral front, all the indices were trading in the red with the BSE Utilities Index, BSE Auto Index, BSE Consumer Durables Index and BSE Services Index plunging over 1.5 per cent each.

As of May 20, 2025, the market capitalisation of BSE-listed companies was approximately Rs 438 lakh crore or USD 5.13 trillion. On the same day, 82 stocks hit a 52-week high while 29 stocks touched a 52-week low.
