Shares below Rs 100: Only buyers were seen in these stocks on October 18!

The top low-priced gainers on BSE that got locked at their respective 20 per cent upper circuits were Gokul Agro Resources, K&R Rail Engineering, and California Software Company.

As Bank of America posted strong Quarterly Results, which increased optimism about the corporate earnings season, Wall Street indices experienced significant gains overnight. All the major Asian indices opened in the green, following the strength on Wall Street. 

The Indian benchmark indices opened sharply higher, boosted by gains in capital goods, industrials, and auto sector stocks. The only sector trading lower was BSE Healthcare. 

At 11.45 am, BSE Sensex gained 0.86 per cent, reaching a level of 58,914. Nifty 50 index surged 0.91 per cent to 17,470 level. On Sensex, State Bank of India, Bharti Airtel, and Larsen & Toubro were the Top Gainers while HDFC, NTPC Ltd, and Sun Pharmaceuticals were the Top Losers of the session. 

Gains of almost 2 per cent in BSE Capital Goods sector astounded investors. With gains of about 5 per cent, Suzlon Energy led BSE Capital Goods after the company announced a new order win for the construction of a 48.3 MW wind power project for Adani Green Energy. 

The shares of Nahar Polyfilms soared over 10 per cent, making it the top gainer in BSE Smallcap pack. The top low-priced gainers on BSE that got locked at their respective 20 per cent upper circuits were Gokul Agro Resources, K&R Rail Engineering, and California Software Company.
