Nexus Surgical & Medicare, PBA Infrastructure, and Digicontent Ltd were the top low-priced gainers on BSE that locked at their 20 per cent upper circuits.

The Indian benchmark indices continued their seven-day winning streak, which included Monday's Muhurat trading session, and gained marginally on Tuesday, powered by an overnight surge on Wall Street on hopes that Federal Reserve's relentless rate hikes are coming to an end.

Then, heavy losses in the FMCG, telecommunication, and banking sectors forced the indices to reverse their earlier gains, dragging them down. Despite this, BSE Auto and BSE Metals were the top-performing sectors, both rising more than 0.70 per cent in an otherwise sluggish market.

At 12.45 pm, BSE Sensex declined 0.38 per cent, reaching a level of 59,601. Nifty 50 index lost 0.36 per cent to the 17,666 level. On Sensex, Tech Mahindra, Maruti Suzuki, and Dr Reddy’s Laboratories were the Top Gainers whereas Nestle India, Hindustan Unilever & Kotak Mahindra Bank were the Top Losers
