Stocks below Rs 100: Only buyers seen in these scrips on July 11

US equities futures dipped early morning on Monday as Wall Street looked ahead to big companies’ earnings reports and key inflation data on the heels of a strong employment report

At 11.30 am Monday, the headline equity indices, i.e. Sensex and Nifty 50 were trading marginally lower due to recession jitters.    

Sensex was at 54,179.63, down by 302.21 points or 0.55 per cent while Nifty 50 was at 15,867.30, down by 80.45 points or 0.50 per cent.  

US equities futures dipped early morning on Monday as Wall Street looked ahead to big companies’ earnings reports and key inflation data on the heels of a strong employment report. Still, investors are now looking forward to earnings reports from major banks and consumer inflation data that will be released this week.  

The shares in the Asia Pacific dipped as Hong Kong’s Hang Seng index plunged 3 per cent on the news that China imposed fines on heavyweights such as Tencent and Alibaba.  

Nikkei 225 in Japan was up by 1.18 per cent and Mainland China markets fell as Shanghai Composite tumbled 1.66 per cent.  

The crude oil price also fell severely only to settle at $104.3 per barrel, owing to supply tensions while the 10-year US treasury yields eased down upon better jobs data.  

The Top Gainers in Nifty 50 pack are Dr Reddy’s Laboratories, ONGC, Mahindra & Mahindra, Divi’s Laboratories, and Coal India. Meanwhile, the Top Losers pulling down the index are Bharti Airtel, TCS, HCL Technologies, Infosys, and BPCL.  

BSE Smallcap index is trading at 25,743.15, up by 0.41 per cent. The top gainers in the pack were MTNL (15 per cent), PC Jeweller (12 per cent), Goa Carbon, Chemcon Speciality Chemicals, and Navkar Corporation. Each of these stocks has gained more than 8 per cent. Similarly, the top losers include Techno Electric Engineering, Birla Tyres, Tarsons Products, Jindal Drilling & Industries, and GOCL Corporation.  

On the sectoral front, BSE Power, BSE Energy, BSE Utilities, and BSE Oil & Gas were gaining on the bourses while the rest of them were exhibiting flat or bearish trends.
