Stocks below Rs 100: Only buyers seen in these scrips on July 14

As June inflation data came in hotter than anticipated, hitting its highest level since 1981 along with fuelling concerns that Federal Reserve may need to raise interest rates more forcefully in the coming months to slow price rises, the stocks in the US markets declined on Wednesday. 

At 12.30 pm on Thursday, the headline equity indices, i.e. Sensex and Nifty 50 were trading flat, as Mainland China markets rose in Asia-Pacific on Thursday after Australia’s unemployment rate fell and Singapore tightened its monetary policy.

Crude oil price fell and is trading flat at $96.36 per barrel while the US Treasury rates also turned flat at 2.94  per cent.   

Sensex was at 53,484.46, down by 27.10 points or 0.07 per cent and Nifty 50 was trading at 15,955.30 down by 11.35 points or 0.07 per cent.  

The Top Gainers in Nifty 50 pack are Kotak Mahindra Bank, Sun Pharmaceutical, Dr Reddy’s Laboratories, Apollo Hospitals, Britannia Industries, and Maruti Suzuki. Meanwhile, Axis Bank, JSW Steel, SBI,  and Hero Motocorp are the Top Losers pulling down the index.  

BSE Smallcap index is trading at 25,672.30 down by 0.46 per cent. The top gainers in the pack were SMS Pharmaceuticals, PC Jeweller, Neuland Laboratories, Valiant Organics, and Sreeleathers. Each of these stocks gained more than 5 per cent. Similarly, the top losers were Techno Electric & Engineering, Navkar  Corporation, Birlasoft, RattanIndia Power, and Brightcom Group. 

On the sectoral front, BSE FMCG, healthcare, and metal were in the green territory whereas BSE Utilities, BSE Telecom, BSE Energy, and BSE Power were trading lower by more than a per cent each.
