Stocks below Rs 100: Only buyers seen in these scrips on March 31

At 12.30 pm on Thursday, the core equity indices i.e., Sensex and Nifty 50 were looking scantly bearish after opening in the green in the pre-morning session, as the global tensions continue to persist around the world.

The crude oil price has dropped 4 per cent with countries worrying about the supply as the Russian President demands oil for roubles from the European countries.  

On the other hand, the rupee has appreciated by 0.11 per cent and is back at Rs 75.80 per USD.  

Sensex was at 58,645.47, down by 38.52 points or 0.07 per cent while Nifty was at 17,490.2  down by 8 points or 0.05 per cent from the last trading session.            

On BSE, 1,715 shares have advanced, 1,560 shares declined whereas 122 shares are unchanged.       

The top five gainers in Nifty 50 pack are IOC, Mahindra & Mahindra, Hero MotoCorp, JSW Steel, and Britannia Industries. Meanwhile, the top five stocks pulling down the index are Hindalco Industries, Divi’s Labs, Reliance Industries, Bharti Airtel, and UPL.  

BSE Smallcap index is trading at 28,259.32, up by 0.46 per cent. The top five gainers are Suven Life Sciences, IFB Agro Industries, Man Industries, Prakash Industries, and Edelweiss. Each of these stocks gained more than 13 per cent. Similarly, the top five stocks pulling the index down include Future Enterprises, RattanIndia Power, Panacea Biotec, Gayatri Projects, and Dalmia Bharat Sugar & Industries. 

Looking at the sectoral indices on BSE, BSE IT, BSE Capital Goods, and BSE Healthcare are the only ones that are lagging. On the flip side, BSE Telecom, BSE Realty, and BSE Power stocks are trading on the higher side.
