At 2.30 pm on Monday, the core equity indices i.e., Sensex and Nifty 50 were trading at the day’s low, with the markets reacting to the global markets.

Asian markets fell as the macroeconomic data released by China spooked the investors regarding the country’s future and the anticipation of normalcy.   

The crude oil price fell and was trading at $109.81.The 10-year US bond yield also dipped and is trading at 2.91 per cent.   

Sensex was at 53,144.26, up by 333.17 points or 0.63 per cent while Nifty was at 15,874.90 up by 92.75 points or 0.59 per cent from the last trading session.             

On BSE, 2,134 shares have advanced, 1,208 shares declined whereas 190 shares are unchanged.               

The Top Gainers in Nifty 50 pack are Eicher Motors, Apollo Hospitals, SBI, NTPC, and Maruti Suzuki. Meanwhile, the top five stocks pulling down the index are Shree Cement, UltraTech Cement, Asian Paints, Grasim Industries, and Tata Motors.  

BSE Smallcap index is trading at 25,555.60, up by 0.95 per cent. The top gainers in the pack were ELGI Equipments (13.23 per cent), Supriya Lifesciences, RattanIndia Enterprises, Urja Global, and HBL Power Systems. Each of these stocks has gained more than 7 per cent. Similarly, the Top Losers include Amber Enterprises India, Techno Electric Engineering Company, Privi Speciality Chemicals, Tinplate Company of India, and Heranba Industries. 

On the sectoral front, all the indices were trading in the green territory, BSE Telecom, BSE Utilities, BSE Auto, BSE Realty, and BSE Power were up by more than 2%.
