The Sensex after a volatile day settled in red losing 390 points concluding at 57,235. Following the path, the Nifty 50 too slipped by 109 points to close the day at 17,014 points. The bank nifty indices plunged by 494 points to close the day at 38,624 points. 

The following Small-Cap stocks are likely to be in focus on Friday, October 14, 2022: 

RITES: Conglomerate of RITES Limited has secured a new business order for Construction of Depot cum Workshop for Rs. 499.41 crores from Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited. The share of RITES made a new 52-week high on the back of this news and finished the day at Rs 380.85 per share

Mishtann Foods: The company Mishtann Foods to expediate its new India's biggest Ethanol Project. Mishtann Foods has executed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Gujarat for setting up India's biggest Grain Based Ethanol project of 1000 KLPD in Gujarat. The company's recent investment, launches of new products and order book are expected to improve the financials further in coming quarters. 

Ugar Sugar Works: The company has established 645 KLPD distillery at Ugar Plant. Further, it has received Consent for Operation for 645 KLPD Distillery. The shares of Ugar sugar have appreciated by  8 per cent and closed at 76.10 per share. 

Pennar Industries: The Pennar Group, is a leading value-added engineering products and solutions company. The company has bagged orders worth Rs 1,167 crores across its various business verticals. The shares of Pennar Industries rose by almost 12 per cent and ended the day Rs 50.60 per share.  

52-week high stocks: Astec Lifesciences, Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers, Butterfly Gandhimathi Appliances, KSB, and Raymond.
