On Friday, the Sensex dipped by 365 points to close at 64,886.51, while Nifty 50 dipped by 120 points to close at 19,265.80. Among the BSE Smallcap gainers were Mangalam Industrial Finance, Parag Milk Foods, Jaiprakash Associates, GFL Ltd and Vindhya Telelinks.

The following Small-Cap stocks are likely to be in focus on Monday, August 28, 2023: 

Knowledge Marine & Engineering Works: Knowledge Marine & Engineering Works Ltd, operating via its subsidiary 'Knowledge Dredging Co. W.L.L, India' in Bahrain, secured a 5-year contract worth 1.87 million Bahrani Dinar from Eastern Asphalt & Mixed Concrete Co. W.L.L to supply marine sand. The contract's value is about Rs. 41.51 crore (at an exchange rate of 1 BD = Rs. 221.40).

Knowledge Marine & Engineering Works Ltd is primarily engaged in the business of owning, chartering/ hiring along with manning, operation and technical maintenance of marine crafts and repairs/ maintenance of marine crafts and marine infrastructure and allied works in India.

Vascon Engineers: The company announced that it has received a letter of acceptance amounting to approx. Rs 606 crore (including GST) from Bihar Medical Services & Infrastructure Corporation Limited.

Vascon Engineers Ltd, established in 1986, is a construction engineering company in India with presence in real estate business having an asset light model and clean room partition manufacturing business.

Kaynes Technology: The company informed the exchange that it has entered into an MoU, with the Government of Karnataka (electronics, IT and BT department) for an investment of Rs 3,750 crore to set up semiconductor assembly & testing (OSAT) facility and printed circuit board (PCB) manufacturing plant through its step-down subsidiaries. 

 Kaynes Technology is a leading end-to-end and IoT solutions-enabled integrated electronics manufacturing company.

52-week high: Atul Auto, DB Realty, Firstsource Solutionns, Kaynes Technology and PG Electroplast.
