Mangalore Refinery & Petrochemicals, Meghmani Finechem, Texmaco Rail & Engineering, Chennai Petroleum Corporation, GSS Infotech, Gufic Biosciences, Shoppers Stop, Genus Power Infrastructures, DCM Shriram Industries, Manali Petrochemicals, and Veranda Learning Solutions made a fresh 52-week high today

On Wednesday, Indian equity markets witnessed short covering, breaking its 5-day losing streak. Nifty and Sensex ended the session with gains of ~1.05 per cent each at 17,136.50 and 57,037.50 respectively.

BSE Smallcap index underperformed broader markets, closing the session with gains of mere 0.36 per cent.Top Gainers of the index include Mangalore Refinery & Petrochemicals, Meghmani Finechem, Texmaco Rail & Engineering and Chennai Petroleum Corporation.Top Losers comprise Dynemic Products, Tata Steel Long Products, Bharat Dynamics and Everest Kanto Cylinder.

The following small-cap stocks are likely to be in focus on Thursday, April 21, 2022:  

VRL Logistics - The company has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on April 18, 2022, with Ratna Cements (Yadwad) Limited (RCL) for the transfer of the wind power (sale of power) undertaking along with all underlying assets and liabilities as a going concern on a slump sale basis. The agreed-upon consideration for the said slump sale is Rs 48 crore. 

PSP Projects - The company has informed the exchange that it is in receipt of new work orders worth Rs 938.76 crore (excluding GST), which includes fresh work orders of Rs 511.39 crore (including orders worth Rs 503.56 crore for the project - 'Construction of Sports Complex at Ahmedabad') and Rs 327.39 crore in FY 2021-22 & FY 2022-23, respectively. Also, the additional scope in existing contracts is worth Rs 99.98 crore in FY 2021-22. 

Inox Wind - India's leading wind energy solutions provider at its board of directors meeting held on April 20, 2022, has amongst other matters, inter-alia, approved fundraising, aggregating up to Rs 402.50 crore through preferential issue of equity shares & convertible warrants. 

DJ Mediaprint & Logistics - The company has secured orders for record room creation and digitisation from Government of Maharashtra, Tribal Development Department, Mantralaya.

52-week high stocks – Mangalore Refinery & Petrochemicals, Meghmani Finechem, Texmaco Rail & Engineering, Chennai Petroleum Corporation, GSS Infotech, Gufic Biosciences, Shoppers Stop, Genus Power Infrastructures, DCM Shriram Industries, Manali Petrochemicals, and Veranda Learning Solutions made a fresh 52-week high today.
