Stocks to watch: These small-cap stocks will be in focus tomorrow!

On Wednesday, Indian equity markets witnessed volatility with Sensex closing in red and Nifty 50 in green. The Nifty 50 and Sensex ended the session at 17,534.75 and 58,817.29, up by 0.06 per cent and 0.06 per cent down, respectively.  

BSE Smallcap index advanced 0.23 per cent to end at 27,655.27. Top Gainers of the index include Chemcon Speciality Chemicals, BF utilities, Fine Organic Industries, Munjal auto industries, and diamines & chemicals. Top Losers of the index comprise Dynamic products, Everest kanto cylinder, sequent scientific, Asian energy services and globus spirits.  

 

The following Small-Cap stocks are likely to be in focus on Thursday, August 11, 2022: 

   

PPAP Automotive- For Q1FY23, The company’s revenues from operations stood at Rs 116 crore. Profit after tax at Rs 2.8 crore and operating EBITA at Rs 12.5 crore. Maruti Suzuki contributed to 33 per cent profitability.

 

Sumitomo Chemical- The company’s PAT increased by 14 per cent to Rs 138 crore in Q1FY23 as compared to Rs 106 crore in Q1 FY22. Revenue has gone up to Rs 986 crore in Q1 FY23 against Rs 782 crore in the corresponding period of FY22. The company plans to launch new product with driving operational efficiencies maintaining highest safety standards and Responsible Care compliances. Also, to invest nearly 15 per cent of consolidated EBITDA every year for upgradation of manufacturing facilities and capacity expansion to cater to strong domestic/global demand. 

 

Chemcon Speciality Chemicals- Leading producer of specialty chemicals including hexamethyldisilazane ("HMDS"), chloromethyl isopropyl carbonate ("CMIC"), and inorganic bromides is Chemcon Speciality Chemicals Limited, announced its un-audited financial results for the quarter ended on June 30th , 2022. Consolidated revenue for the first quarter stood at Rs 89.4 crore, up 56.3 per cent YoY. EBITDA improved by 87.8 per cent to Rs 33.6 crore in Q1 FY23 from Rs 6,790 crore in Q1 FY22. The profit after tax saw higher gain of 89.9 per cent to Rs 25.5 crore from Rs 13.4 crore in Q1FY22. 

 

52-week high stocks – Superhouse Limited, Fine Organic Industries, Rainbow Childrens Medicare, Hubtown, JK Paper, TD Power Systems, Ice Make Refrigeration, Star Paper Mills, Ador Welding, and AIA Engineering made a fresh 52-week high today.
