The stock is up over 11 per cent on Friday on back of huge spurt in the volumes. So far, total traded volume has surpassed its prior trading session volume and moreover, it is highest since September 2022.  

More generally, it’s not that easy making money from shorts. According to S3 Partners, a specialist New York-based consultancy that tracks short positions, short selling generated aggregate gains of $300 billion last year as stock markets fell. But that simply offsets some of the $572 billions of losses suffered over the previous three years.   

 On BSE today, about 1,436 shares have advanced, 1,939 declined and 159 are unchanged. 

About 1,764 shares have advanced, 1,602 declined and 133 are unchanged. 

Yesterday, the company announced its Q3FY23 results.

Today, the Indian benchmark indices were trading flat and BSE Telecommunication Index was leading the gainers on the second straight day. 

One of the trending news on the internet is the Hindenburg Research report which is raising concern over the debt positions of Adani group companies.

The stock surged 4 per cent and closed at Rs 1844.95.
