On July 7, foreign institutional investors (FII) purchased shares worth Rs 790.40 crore, while domestic institutional investors (DII) sold shares worth Rs 2,964.23 crore.

Indian domestic indices gained in line with strength in global markets.

About 1,588 shares have advanced, 1,902 declined and 132 are unchanged on BSE.    

About 1,934 shares have advanced, 1,499 declined and 144 are unchanged. 

The shareholding pattern of the company consists of 70.15 per cent promoter, 6.31 per cent FIIs, 9.12 per cent DIIs and 14.42 per cent public ownership. Indices closed on a higher note on a volatile trading day. NSE Nifty 50 index rose 0.28 per cent to close above 18650 levels while Sensex soared 150 points.

RBI meeting proved to be a relief for the bulls as strong short-covering was witnessed in the broader market. Nifty jumped 1.64 per cent to close at 17,000 while Sensex soared 1,015 points.

Despite opening with a gap-up of about a per cent, the broader indices i.e. NSE Nifty 50 and BSE Sensex lost points to close negatively for the seventh consecutive trading session.

Indices saw a sharp sell-off in the last hour of the trading session as Nifty closed at the day’s low. Nifty plunged 0.87 per cent while Sensex dipped over 500 points.

Indices traded lower amid volatility throughout the day and closed nearly at the day’s low. Nifty closed at the 17,000 level and slipped 1.980 per cent. Sensex tanked 953 points while Nifty Midcap and Nifty Smallcap plunged 3.11 per cent & 3.41 per cent, respectively.
