Indices traded higher throughout the day, except for slight profit booking in the last half hour of Tuesday’s trading session. NSE Nifty 50 closed at 18,350 levels while S&P BSE Sensex gained 18.11 points.

Nifty traded weak throughout the day after gap up opening. It slipped below yesterday’s low and closed around day’s low. It closed 104 points below the closing level of last trading session at 18,181 level. S&P BSE Sensex also dropped more than 370 points lower at 62,560 level. Nifty Midcap 100 and Nifty Small cap 100 lost all outperformance of last trading session and closed 0.09 per cent and 0.5 per cent lower respectively.

Nifty closed 104 points below the closing level of last trading session at 18,181 level. S&P BSE Sensex also dropped more than 370 points lower at 62,560 level. Nifty Midcap 100 and Nifty Small cap 100 outperformed benchmark index as it closed 0.09 per cent lower and 0.5 per cent higher respectively.

Nifty closed around the day's high after filling the opening gap. It closed higher around 90 points or 0.51 per cent to close around the 17,812 level. BSE Sensex rallied more than 235 points and closed just below the important resistance of the downward-sloping trendline on the daily timeframe. Nifty Midcap 100 and Nifty Smallcap 100 rallied 0.65 per cent and 0.53 per cent, respectively.

Nifty opened with a slight gap-up and traded higher after some intraday consolidation. In the afternoon session, it witnessed a profit booking and touched its previous falling trend line on the daily time frame. Nifty closed higher around 24 points or 0.14 per cent to close around the 17,624 level. S&P BSE Sensex also closed flat with a rise of 13 points. Nifty Mid-cap 100 and Nifty Small-cap 100 rallied 0.38 per cent and 0.28 per cent respectively.

Nifty Midcap 100 rallied 0.64 per cent after 2 days’ consolidation and Nifty Small cap 100 rallied 0.78 per cent.
