Shares of the company traded in the green despite market sell-off.

On February 27, 2023, Ashoka Buildcon Limited informed in the exchange filing that the company has received notification of award from the Ministry of Road Transport and Bridges (MORTB), Govt. of Bangladesh (“Authority”) for the Project viz. Improvement of Baraiyerhat - Heanko - Ramgarh Road by widening & reconstruction of existing pavement, Bangladesh. The accepted Contract Value for the Project is USD 80,154,324.32.

Ashoka Buildcon is one of the leading highway developers in India. The company is an integrated EPC and BOT player. It has a portfolio of various PPP projects, which is the largest in number by any private player in India. Besides the construction of highways and bridges, the company is also engaged in Power Transmission and Distribution on an EPC basis.

Today, the stock opened at Rs 74.55, with a high and low of Rs 76.30 and Rs 73. The stock closed trading today at Rs 75.60, up by 0.27 per cent. 

In the last 6 months, the shares of the company have given about -5 per cent returns and on a YTD basis, the stock has given about -13 per cent returns.

The stock has a 52-week high of Rs 95.70 and a 52-week low of Rs 69. The company has a ROCE of 26 per cent and an ROE of 49.7 per cent, with a market capitalisation of Rs 2,119 crore.
