These stocks from S&P BSE 250 SmallCap space were trading in the green after strong demand from buyers.

The benchmark index S&P BSE 250 SmallCap Index opened on Wednesday at 3,889.51 and made its day high at 3,908.67. 

From the same space, these are the top 3 companies that outperformed the benchmark index and were up by more than 4 per cent today. 

Shares of Lloyds Metals and Energy Limited were trading up by more than 4.5 per cent on BSE today. The scrip closed on Tuesday at Rs 246.95 and opened on Wednesday at Rs 249.10 a piece. Shares touched their day high at Rs 259.25 after the surge. The 52-week high of the stock stood at Rs 264.95, whereas the 52-week low is Rs 247.35. Presently the promoters are holding a 74.63 per cent stake in the company and the institutional and non-institutional holdings are 0.35 per cent and 25.01 per cent, respectively. 

Another top player today is Edelweiss Financial Services Limited. Shares were trading up by more than 4.5 per cent on BSE during the day. The stock opened at Rs 64.20 a piece and touched its day high at Rs 69.35. The 52-week high of Edelweiss Financial Services Limited is at Rs 75.40, whereas the 52-week low stood at Rs 49.40. Promoters of the company hold 32.62 per cent, and the institutional and non-institutional holdings are 38.93 per cent and 28.44 per cent, respectively. 

One more top gainer today which shot up by over 5 per cent is Tata Investment Corporation Limited. The stock opened at Rs 2,190.00 and touched its day high at Rs 2,337.20. On Tuesday, the shares closed at Rs 2,178.40 a piece. The stock has a 52-week high of Rs 2,886.50, whereas the 52-week low stood at Rs 1,218.00. Currently, the promoters are holding about 73.38 per cent stake in the company, whereas the institutional and non-institutional holdings are 1.78 per cent and 24.83 per cent, respectively.
