Top three stocks that saw heavy demand from buyers in the pre-opening session today

These three stocks were the top gainers on BSE in the pre-opening session today.

At the pre-opening bell, the frontline index S&P BSE Sensex opened in red with a loss of 143.01 points or 0.23 per cent. By 9.15 am, the index strengthened to 61,137.85, signifying gains of 135.28 points or 0.22 per cent. 

On the sectoral front, in the pre-opening session, metals were up by 0.07 per cent, power weakened by 0.21 per cent whereas auto was trading flat. 

Meanwhile, EKI Energy Services Ltd, KEC International Ltd and Tatva Chintan Pharma Chem Ltd emerged as the Top Gainers of BSE in the pre-opening session today. 

EKI Energy Services Ltd, an S&P BSE SmallCap company, surged 7.09 per cent to trade at Rs 670 apiece. As per the latest announcement, the central government has finalised a list of activities that is taken into account for selling carbon credits on the global market, in compliance with Article 6.2 of the Paris Agreement. Owing to this, the shares of EKI Energy, which is a leading carbon credit developer & supplier, are rallying on the bourses. 

KEC International Ltd, an S&P BSE 500 company, rallied 5.85 per cent to trade at Rs 503 apiece. On Friday, the company announced that it has secured new order wins worth Rs 3,023 crore. 

Tatva Chintan Pharma Chem Ltd, another S&P BSE SmallCap company, climbed 5.85 per cent to trade at Rs 2099.95 apiece. The company has not made any significant announcements of late. Hence, the rally in the share price could be driven purely by the market forces.
