Top three stocks that saw heavy demand from buyers in the pre-opening session today
These three stocks were the top gainers on BSE in the pre-opening session today.
At the pre-opening bell, the frontline index S&P BSE Sensex opened in red with a loss of 466.75 points or 0.75 per cent. By 9.15 am, the index further strengthened and stood at 62,656.69 signifying a gain of 31.06 points or 0.05 per cent over its previous closing.
On the sectoral front, in the pre-opening session, metals rose by 0.28 per cent, power gained 0.23 and auto rose by 0.29 per cent.
Meanwhile, Maharashtra Seamless Ltd, Brightcom Group Ltd and Cochin Shipyard Ltd emerged as the Top Gainers of BSE in the pre-opening session today.
Maharashtra Seamless Ltd, an S&P BSE company, surged 4.59 per cent to trade at Rs 494.05 apiece. The company has made voluntary prepayment of outstanding long-term loan of Rs 234 crore. In view of its high order book and strong liquidity position, the company went ahead with this prepayment entirely from its internal accruals to become completely debt free.

Brightcom Group Ltd rallied 4.16 per cent to trade at Rs 24.76 apiece. The company has not made any significant announcements of late. Hence, the rally in the share price could be driven purely by the market forces.
Cochin Shipyard Ltd, an S&P BSE company, climbed 3.32 per cent to trade at Rs 558.25 apiece. The company has emerged as the lowest bidder for the upgrade of an Indian Navy ship with an estimated project cost of Rs 300 crore.
