Top three stocks that saw heavy demand from buyers in the pre-opening session today

At the pre-opening bell, the frontline index S&P BSE Sensex opened in red with a loss of 244.24 points or 0.3 per cent.
On the sectoral front, in the pre-opening session, metals jumped by 0.01 per cent, power plunged by 0.23 and auto slipped by 0.26 per cent.

Meanwhile, VA Tech Wabag Ltd, National Aluminium Company Ltd, and TARC Ltd emerged as the Top Gainers of BSE in the pre-opening session today.
VA Tech Wabag Ltd, an S&P BSE company, surged 6.20 per cent to trade at Rs 1,496.90 apiece. VA TECH WABAG LIMITED, a leading Indian multinational in the water technology sector, announced its financial results for FY 2024-25. The company reported a consolidated revenue of Rs. 32,940 Mn, up 15 per cent year-on-year, with EBITDA at Rs. 4,302 Mn and PAT rising 20 per cent YoY to Rs. 2,953 Mn. On a standalone basis, revenue stood at Rs. 28,738 Mn (up 15 per cent), EBITDA at Rs. 4,029 Mn, and PAT at Rs. 2,713 Mn (up 15 per cent).
National Aluminium Company Ltd, an S&P BSE company, rose 4.60 per cent to trade at Rs 190.00 apiece. National Aluminium Company Limited (NALCO), a Navratna CPSE under the Ministry of Mines, Government of India, has reported its highest-ever net profit and revenue from operations in FY25. The company recorded a net profit of Rs 5,325 crore, marking a 158 per cent year-on-year increase, and revenue from operations of Rs 16,788 crore. For the fourth quarter ended March 2025, net profit surged to Rs 2,078 crore from Rs 1,016 crore a year ago, reflecting a 105 per cent rise. Quarterly revenue also rose to Rs 5,268 crore from Rs 3,579 crore in the same period last year.
TARC Ltd, an S&P BSE company, gained 3.26 per cent to trade at Rs 161.75 apiece. The company has not made any significant announcements of late. Hence, the rally in the share price could be driven purely by the market forces.
