At the pre-opening bell, the frontline index S&P BSE Sensex opened in green with a gain of 384.47 points or 0.47 per cent.
On the sectoral front, in the pre-opening session, metals jumped by 0.55 per cent, power zoomed by 0.38 and auto soared by 0.23 per cent.
Meanwhile, Kalpataru Projects International Ltd, Mahindra Holidays & Resorts India Ltd and TARC Ltd emerged as the Top Gainers of BSE in the pre-opening session today.
Kalpataru Projects International Ltd, an S&P BSE company, surged 5.28 per cent to trade at Rs 1,211.00 apiece. Kalpataru Projects International Limited (KPIL), one of the leading EPC players in the power transmission and distribution (T&D) and civil infrastructure sector, along with its international subsidiaries, have secured new orders/notification of awards of approx. Rs 3,789 Crores.
Mahindra Holidays & Resorts India Ltd, an S&P BSE company, jumped 4.69 per cent to trade at Rs 377.00 apiece. The company has not made any significant announcements of late. Hence, the rally in the share price could be driven purely by the market forces.
