Watch out for these low-priced stocks which made a fresh 52-week high on Monday!

The core equity indices i.e., Sensex and Nifty 50 were seen recovering their previous levels. The Sensex was at 58,188 up by 988 points or 1.67 per cent, while Nifty was at 17,380.50 up by 278.55 points or 1.63 per cent from the last trading session.   

At 12.30 pm on Monday, the core equity indices i.e., Sensex and Nifty 50 were seen recovering their previous levels. The Sensex was at 58,188 up by 988 points or 1.67 per cent, while Nifty was at 17,380.50 up by 278.55 points or 1.63 per cent from the last trading session.   

The top gainers of Nifty 50 were Tech Mahindra, BPCL, DR Reddy’s Laboratories, Wipro, and Infosys. Meanwhile, the stocks pulling down the index include IndusInd Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank, HDFC Life, and Coal India.  

BSE Smallcap index is trading at 29,230.18, up by 1 per cent. The top five gainers are NIIT, Chalet Hotels, Gujarat Fluorochemicals, Siyaram Silk Mills, and MATRIMONY.COM. Each of these stocks gained more than 10 per cent. Similarly, the top five stocks pulling the index down include NACL Industries, Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation, SpiceJet, CARE Ratings, and Tata Teleservices (Maharashtra).  

The sectoral indices on the BSE were all trading in the green and extending the gains. BSE Energy, BSE IT, BSE Realty, BSE Oil and Gas, and BSE TECk were some of the sectors driving the markets. All of these sectoral indices were up and in the range of 2 per cent to 3 per cent.  

The markets seem to be regaining their lost levels and preparing for the Union Budget to be announced tomorrow, with salaried people expecting a less complicated tax regime and the incentives to be announced for the various sectors.
