The metal sector has been the top gainer amongst all sectors, surging by 1.67 per cent on the BSE, while information technology is the top loser falling by more than 1 per cent. 

At the pre-opening bell, the frontline index S&P BSE Sensex opened in red with a loss of 358.12 points or 0.58 per cent.

Shares of the company zoomed 8 per cent on getting the final nod for Ketorolac Tromethamine Injection.

On the sectorial front the PSU Bank, realty and bank stocks saw buying demand. While IT, consumer durables and auto shares saw a bit of selling pressure.

Ending marginally lower, Sensex was down 69.68 points or 0.11 per cent at the 60,836.41 level while Nifty was down 30.10 points or 0.17 per cent at the 18,052.70 level. Apart from bank, realty and FMCG all other indices ended the trading session in negative territory.  

The company primarily offers various generic pharma products across various therapeutic segments such as anti-bacterial, anti-malarial, anti-fungal, cardiovascular, nephrology, dietary supplements, etc.

On Thursday, Indian equity markets Indian equity markets ended on a sombre note owing to weak global cues. Nifty 50 closed at 18,052.70, down by 0.17 per cent.
