Several stocks with the share price lower than Rs 100 per share were seen trending on Wednesday trading session with some of the top gainers jumping higher by more than 14 per cent. 

The cement stocks were seen outperforming on bourses along with transport and auto sector related stocks. Several penny stocks were seen outperforming on Wednesday even as some fo the penny stocks gained with spurt in volume. 

BSE SmallCap Index closed at down by 0.18 per cent while BSE Sensex managed to shut shop at 55629 levels, down by 0.29 per cent.

Few IT stocks were seen trending and bucking the broader trend in the markets on Wednesday. IT stocks such as Intense Technology, MRO Tek, HCL Info Systems, BCG and Cambridge Technology were seen locked in the upper circuit.  

Despite Nifty index losing nearly 150 points from the day’s high, it did not breach its prior trading low. Moreover, India VIX, a gauge of the market’s expectation of volatility over the near term, dropped nearly 4 per cent, which suggests that there is no fear among the market participants now.  Considering this, the T20 breakout system has hand-picked the following stocks for the coming trading sessions. 

The equity markets are observing a rally by large-cap stocks in the month of August, which is driving the benchmark indices to higher levels, while the broader market is playing in a consolidation zone. Mid-caps and small caps are now experiencing some profit booking after rallying for the last few months. This is perhaps a fit sign for the market.
