Tracking losses from global markets, domestic benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty opened in the red zone on Friday. However, the indices later erased the losses of the morning's trading session as Sensex gained by 242.52 points or 0.72 per cent to close at 33,780.89 while Nifty increased by 70.90 points or 0.72 per cent to settle at 9,972.90.

The board of directors of Hexaware Technologies convened a meeting today with an aim to take a decision on delisting of its shares. The promoter entity HT Global IT Solutions Holdings Limited had voiced its intention to make a voluntary delisting offer

The whole incident including the fire is bound to impact the financials of the company. The current lockdown scenario has already affected the normal demand-supply ratios. Moreover, the impact on its capex plans is likely to spill into the next fiscal from the current year.

The company reported that 97 per cent of loans were repaid using electronic mode of transfer whereas 3 per cent borrowers were unable to pay during lockdown.
