At 1 pm on Monday, the core equity indices i.e., Sensex and Nifty 50 were trading marginally lower amidst weak global cues.

At  noon on Friday, the core equity indices i.e., Sensex and Nifty 50 were trading higher as RBI kept the policy rates unchanged in the bi-monthly policy meet. The monetary policy stance remains accommodative as the repo rate also remains unchanged at 4 per cent. 

On Thursday, the Indian markets opened marginally higher, as the core equity indices were up by 0.80 per cent. This comes after the FED Chairman, Jerome Powell announced that the highly anticipated rate hike will happen but at 0.25 bps rise only for now. The further point increase in the interest rate will depend if the inflation in the US remains ‘persistently high'. This statement came as a slight relief to the markets globally, in this period of turmoil. 

At noon on Tuesday, the core equity indices i.e., Sensex and Nifty 50 were seen trading on the greener side. The Sensex was at 57,297.66, up by 891.82 points or 1.58 per cent, while Nifty was at 17,103.95 up by 260.10 points or 1.54 per cent from the last trading session.   

At 11.30 am on Tuesday, the core equity indices i.e., Sensex and Nifty 50 were trading in the green as the Union Budget Day finally arrived. The Sensex was at 58,695.38 up by 674.54 points or 1.16 per cent, while Nifty was at 17,531 up by 191 points or 1.08 per cent from the last trading session.
