On Tuesday, the headline equity indices i.e. Sensex and Nifty ended on a lower note after gaining almost 0.50 per cent in the afternoon session. The European markets have opened in the green whereas the Rupee crossed the Rs 77 per dollar mark and is trading at Rs 77.33.

All the three US equity indices fell in the range of 2 to 4 per cent on Monday, as major tech companies like Apple, Alphabet, Meta, and others lost almost $1 trillion market share in the last three trading sessions.  On the sectoral front, only BSE Auto, BSE FMCG, and BSE Telecom were trading in the green.

The crude oil price slipped by a per cent and was trading at $103.6. Meanwhile, the bond yields are higher and touched the 3 per cent mark today, in anticipation of the rate hike to be announced by Federal Reserve.

At 12.30 pm on Wednesday, the core equity indices i.e., Sensex and Nifty 50 fell sharply and were trading almost a per cent down, owing to a weaker global market scenario. All the sectors on BSE were trading in the red with BSE IT, BSE Metal, and BSE Telecom dragging the markets even more. However, India VIX surged 7.50 per cent today.

On the sectoral front, only the private bank sector was trading slightly on the higher side whereas the rest of the sectors were down by more than 2 per cent to 3 per cent each.
