Stocks to watch: These small-cap stocks will be in focus on Monday!

Avro India, Silver Touch Technologies, Kohinoor Foods, Kanani Industries, Iris Clothings, Dangee Dums, and Madhya Bharat Agro Products made a fresh 52-week high today.

On Friday, domestic equity markets closed in red territory after erasing all gains from the morning session. Nifty 50 and Sensex recorded losses of 0.16 per cent and 0.26 per cent, closing at 15,782.20 and 52,793.62 respectively. 

BSE Smallcap index outperformed broader markets, ending at 25,315.75 with gains of 1.28 per cent. Top Gainers of the index include RattanIndia Enterprises, SEPC, Matrimony.com, Poonawalla Fincorp, Tata Elxsi and IFB Industries. Top Losers comprise Hatsun Agro, TV TodayNetwork, Techno Electric & Engineering, HLE Glascoat and GNFC. 

The following small-cap stocks are likely to be in focus on Monday, May 16, 2022:

RattanIndia Enterprises - Revolt Motors, India’s next gen-mobility company backed by the company is set to open 2 new stores in the state of Kerela in Kochi & Thrissur. After mounting its presence across states like Bihar & Andhra Pradesh recently, this would be the brand’s 24th & 25th store and the first two stores in the state. 

Patel Engineering – The company has bagged a contract worth Rs 2,461 crore for the work of ‘construction of diversion tunnel, concrete gravity dam, intake, pressure shafts, underground powerhouse & tailrace tunnel (lot 1) for Kwar HE Project in Kishtwar district, Jammu & Kashmir, India'.     

The letter of acceptance for the contract is issued by the authority and the work is expected to be completed in a period of 48 months as per the contract terms. The company already has three ongoing projects in the nearby vicinity of Jammu & Kashmir with similar geological terrains, which is an added advantage for the execution of this new project.    

Genus Power Infrastructures – The company has announced its audited financial results for the quarter and year ended March 31, 2022. As of May 12, 2022, its order book (before adjusting for revenue post-March 31, 2022) stood at Rs 1,908.20 crore (net of tax).     

V-Guard Industries - The company has made further investments to the extent of Rs 29.89 crore in V-Guard Consumer Products Ltd (VCPL), the company’s wholly-owned subsidiary. The total amount of investment made to date of this disclosure is approximately Rs 89.69 crore.       

52-week high stocks – Avro India, Silver Touch Technologies, Kohinoor Foods, Kanani Industries, Iris Clothings, Dangee Dums, and Madhya Bharat Agro Products made a fresh 52-week high today.
