Indices ended the day on a higher note amidst volatility. NSE Nifty 50 index managed to close at 18,100 levels despite losing over 100 points during the afternoon. The benchmark index soared 1.352 per cent while S&P BSE Sensex rose 850 points.

About 2,064 shares have advanced, 1,460 declined and 202 are unchanged. 

The barometer index, the S&P BSE Sensex, surged by 876 points at 11:30 IST and is currently trading at a level of 60,777.

The company announced Q3FY23 results wherein the company recorded the highest sales of 91,232 thousand tonnes vs 65,088 thousand tonnes in Q3FY22, a growth of 40per cent YoY.

At the pre-opening bell, the frontline index S&P BSE Sensex opened in green with a gain of 132 points or 0.22 per cent.

On Friday, Sensex tanked 452.90 points to close at 59, 900.37, while the Nifty 50 dropped 132.70 points to close at 17,859.45. Among the Nifty gainers were Britannia, M&M, Reliance, BPCL and Bajaj Auto, while, TCS, JSW Steel, InusInd Bank, Bajaj Finserv and Tech Mahindra were among the top losers
