Post recording a fall of 300 points during Thursday's trading session, the Sensex recouped all of its losses to end at the 60,298 level, being up by 38 points or 0.06 per cent, whereas the Nifty 50 recovered from a low of 17,852 to end at 17,965, up 21 points or 0.12 per cent. 

A surge in volume coincided with shares trading at an all-time high. Investors' attention is being drawn to this stock by its consecutive upper circuits and price-volume breakouts. 

BSE Smallcap index advanced 0.34 per cent to end at 28,438.57.

 Indices witnessed a sharp recovery towards the end as Nifty closed 12 points higher at 17,956. Sensex jumped 37 points while the broader indices such as Nifty Midcap and Nifty Smallcap also inched higher by 0.19 per cent & 0.16 per cent, respectively.  

At 2.30 pm on Thursday, the markets were seen recovering from the day’s low as Asia- Pacific markets tumbled following the overnight cooling off of the most recent Wall Street rise.
