At the closing bell on May 27, the Sensex ended with a gain of 1.2 per cent or 632.13 points at 54,884.66, while the Nifty50 also gained 1.1 per cent or 182 points at 16,352.45 

 Apar Industries, AstraZeneca Pharma India and Bliss GVS Pharma witnessed positive action in today’s session.  

The benchmark indices ended higher for the second consecutive day on the back of positive global cues. A lowering of FII selling made the domestic market comfortable in squeezing volatility. RBI’s upcoming policy meeting will be the key driver in the market, where they are expected to announce an additional policy rate hike of 25-35 bps.

BSE Smallcap index performed at par with broader markets, ending in the green territory at 25,621.57 with gains of 1.20 per cent.
