At the pre-opening bell, the frontline index S&P BSE Sensex opened in green with a gain of 85.99 points or 0.15 per cent. 

Despite a correction in the market, these low-priced stocks have skyrocketed while some gave more than 1,000 per cent returns.

The global brokerage firm Nomura has maintained a cautious stance on the IT services sector and expects a significant moderation in the revenue growth rate of the Indian IT companies in FY24 vs FY23.

Ramesh Damani, Utpal Sheth, Mukul Agrawal and LN Bangur were among the notable capital market investors, who made investments in the company earlier in 2021.

On Wednesday, Indian equity benchmarks jumped clocking gains across sectors taking cues from strength across global markets as robust corporate earnings in the US relaxed investors' minds about slowing growth due to steep hikes in interest rates. Oil & gas, financial, IT, and auto shares turned out to be the biggest thrusts lifting the headline indices.

BSE Smallcap index relatively underperformed broader markets by climbing only 0.42 per cent to end at 26,477.85.

Indices traded higher throughout the day as Nifty climbed 1.10 per cent while Sensex gained over 630 points. Nifty Midcap and Nifty Smallcap rose 0.19 per cent & 0.81 per cent, respectively.  

In the afternoon session on Wednesday, the headline equity indices, i.e. Sensex and Nifty 50 were trading higher as the global markets continued their gaining rally. 

The shares of National Oxygen are continuously hitting the upper circuit limit of 5 per cent in 6 consecutive sessions, taking the stock price gain to a mindboggling 73 per cent in the last one month.
