The stocks that were seen in red today on the index were, Hinduja Global Solutions, Dishman Carbogen Amcis, GMR Infrastructure, and Shree Renuka Sugars.

The domestic equity markets started 2022 on a positive note with most of the indices moving in upward direction this week. Despite the surge in covid cases in India and globally, the markets moved higher as the severity of Omicron variant seems to low. Sensex and Nifty inched up by 2.6 per cent each during the week.

Nifty recovered from its low of 17,704 and gained about 120 points. In the end, Nifty closed the week at 17,812, up by 0.38 per cent while Sensex gained around 160 points.
