Activity in the F&O market for the weekly expiry on December 30, shows 17000 to act as firm support.

Domestic markets continued to trade firm depicting an upbeat mood in the global markets led by gains in realty, financials and IT stocks, while broader markets strengthened. 

On Thursday, benchmark indices ended on a positive note for the third straight session with Sensex ending up 384.72 points or 0.68 per cent at 57,315.28 level, and the Nifty was up 117.10 points or 0.69 per cent at 17,072.60 level supported by the positive global cues.

Nifty ends the expiry at 17,072 and is up by 117 points or 0.69 per cent. Sensex surged over 350 points.

The incorporation of TPEML is according to a binding agreement of the automaker with private equity firm TGP Rise Climate for an investment of Rs 7500 crore by TGP Rise Climate into a wholly-owned subsidiary of Tata Motors, as informed by Tata Motors in its earlier press release on October 12, 2021. Tata Motors informed their intent to use the proposed investment by TGP to partly fund investment of USD 2 billion (over Rs 16,000 crore) in the next five years in expanding its EV business with a plan to Introduce 10 new EVs(by FY 26).

This brings the value of orders received during the quarter to Rs 900 crore.

Shares of GPT Infraprojects were trading up by 14 per cent intraday on Thursday after the company bagged a deal valued at Rs 187.81 crore from Maharashtra Rail Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited. 

It has been a volatile expiry for Nifty as it made huge swings in both directions. On Monday, Nifty had made a swing low of 16,410
