Sequent Scientific's arm Alivira Animal Health acquires 3 companies in Europe
Sequent Scientific Limited informed the exchange that Alivira Animal Health Limited its wholly owned subsidiary has acquired 3 European Veterinary pharmaceutical companies. The companies are N-Vet AB, Fendigo SA & Fendigo BV. Alivira has acquired 85 percent stake in these companies with the current management retaining the balance stake. The acquired business will be integrated and consolidated with immediate effect.
These 3 companies are engaged in sales and marketing of veterinary pharmaceuticals and animal health products. N-Vet AB worked for the same through Sweden; Fendingo SA through Belgium and Luxembourg and Fendigo BV through Netherlands. The current structure would permit the management to drive the business and Alivira would provide a stronger framework for growth through a large product portfolio, global reach, integrated manufacturing capabilities.
The acquired business collectively has a revenue of USD 10 million in 2014 and an EBITDA margin of 13 percent.
In terms of financials the total operating revenue of the Sequent Scientific on year ending March 2015 stood at Rs.443.22 crores a decrease of 2.69 percent on yearly basis. The EBITDA margin is currently 4.09 percent as compared to 3.70 percent for the same period last year. The net loss of the company currently stands at Rs. 10.74 crores.
The stock of the company is trading at Rs.1170 an increase of 3 percent from the previous close.The stock has surged almost 35 to 40 percent in last 3 months.
