Multibagger

Multibagger Stock

The term Multibagger was first coined in 1988, by Peter Lynch- in his best-selling book, "One Up On Wall Street" in which he describes that he derived inspiration from the game of baseball for the same. In this game, he says that the success of the game depends upon the number of bags or bases the runner attains. Relating the same concept he states that certain unique equity shares of some companies generate returns that are several times higher than their original cost of acquisition in a short span. For example, A ten-bagger is a stock that gives returns ten times more than the investment made.
