Shares Below Rs 100: Only Buyers Were Seen In These Stocks, Locked in Upper Circuit Today

The top mid-cap gainers were Mphasis Ltd, Persistent Systems Ltd and Coforge Ltd.

The BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty-50 indices are trading in the red on Thursday with the Sensex down 0.74 per cent at 79,213 and the Nifty-50 down 0.86 per cent at 24,029. About 720 shares have advanced, 3,245 shares have declined and 119 shares were unchanged on BSE. The BSE Sensex Index made a new 52-week high of 85,978.25 on September 27, 2024 and the NSE Nifty-50 Index made a new 52-week high of 26,277.35 on September 27, 2024.

The broader markets were in the red territory, with the BSE Mid-Cap Index down 2.44 per cent and the BSE Small-Cap Index down 2.56 per cent. The top mid-cap gainers were Mphasis Ltd, Persistent Systems Ltd and Coforge Ltd. In contrast, the top small-cap gainers were Carraro India Ltd, Butterfly Gandhimathi Appliances Ltd and Restaurant Brands Asia Ltd.

On the sectoral front, the indices traded mixed with the BSE IT Index and BSE Focused IT Index were the Top Gainers while the BSE Services Index and BSE Power Index were the Top Losers.

As of April 25, 2025, the market capitalisation of BSE-listed companies was approximately Rs 4.21 lakh crore or USD 4.92 trillion. On the same day, 58 stocks hit a 52-week high, while 40 stocks touched a 52-week low.
