Markets Extend Losses, Trading With Negative Sentiments
Indian markets are trading on a flat negative note after tracking weakness in the Asian region. The headline indices are trading in a narrow range. Currently, Nifty is down by 28 points to trade at 7512 and Sensex has moved 78 points higher at 25149.
The advance-decline ratio is in negatives at this hour. On the NSE, 1418 shares are trading in gains and 2126 shares are down.
Top 5 Nifty Gainers: GAIL is the top gainer so far, up by 2.26%, followed by Infosys, Cairn India, TCS and Bajaj Auto.
Top 5 Nifty Losers: Larsen has dipped by 2.40% this morning. UltraTech Cement, Power Grid Corp, Tata Power and M&M are among the other stocks which are trading in red.
On sectoral front, 10 out of 13 sectoral indices are in the negative zone as of now. Capital Goods is the top loser so far, down by 255 points. Bankex is down in the range of 101 points, while Mid-Caps and Small-Caps have lost around 76 points and 66 points respectively. However, IT saw some positive trades.
The Asian markets are trading on mixed note. Nikkei is down by 165 points and Hang Seng is seen nominally down by 10 points. Shanghai Composite, KOSPI and Taiwan Weighted are trading higher.
Buzzer: Capital goods stocks decline ABB India (down 3.05%), Crompton Greaves (down 3.1%), Siemens (down 4.6%), Bharat Heavy Electricals (down 1.49%), L&T (down 2.44%) and Thermax (down 1.54%).
Nifty Futures is trading at 7550 near to the intraday support level, while 7570 serve as the resistance.
