Engineers India builds up strong Q1FY17

Engineers India (EIL) has declared its Q1FY17 results on Tuesday. The company’s revenue has declined by 12.67 per cent to Rs 342 crore in Q1FY17 as compared to same period in previous financial year. Its EBITDA has boosted by more than two times to Rs 73 crore in Q1FY17 on a yearly basis.

EIL’s EBITDA margin has expanded by 1240 basis points to 21.35 per cent in Q1FY17 as compared to same period in previous fiscal. The company’s net profit margin has increased by 43.91 per cent to Rs 80 crore in Q1FY17 on a yearly basis. Its net profit margin has expanded by 924 basis points to 23.5 per cent in Q1FY17 as compared to same period in previous financial year.

On segmental revenue front, EIL has earned 78.58 per cent from consultancy and engineering projects; and remaining 21.42 per cent from turnkey projects during Q1FY17.

The share price of EIL has increased by 5.83 per cent on bourses in early trades; and is trading at Rs 241.75 on an intraday basis.

EIL is an engineering and consultancy, procurement and construction (EPC) company dealing in hydrocarbons and petrochemicals. The company operates in two segments viz. consultancy and engineering projects, and turnkey projects. It is focused on sectors such as fertilisers and liquefied natural gas (LNG), non-ferrous metallurgy, infrastructure, strategic crude oil storage, nuclear and solar energy, and exploration and production.
