Bulls Party On D-Street, Nifty Above 6400 Mark

The Indian markets continued with the positive scenario, which has been the story from the last couple of trading session. Apart of Healthcare all the sectors closed in the positive territory. The stock of Reliance Infra saw a massive rally of more than 10%. In today’s session Nifty closed up by 72 points at 6401 and Sensex was 237 points higher to trade at a life time high of 21513.

The advance-decline ratio on NSE was on the positive side as the day ended with 1985 shares in green and 1380 shares in the red zone.

Top Nifty Gainers: JP Associates gained 8.8% in today’s trade, followed by DLF, Hindalco, ACC and BHEL.

Top Nifty Losers: Cipla closed the day lower by 1.49%, followed by Wipro, Lupin, TCS and Sun Pharma.

Most of the sectoral indices closed on the positive side. Bankex remained the biggest gainer of the day, up by 213 points. Capital Goods and Metals also surged around 200 points. Oil & Gas, Auto, Consumer Durables and FMCG closed on the positive note as well. Mid-Caps and Small-Caps also witnessed positive trade up by 80 points each. However, Healthcare was the only sector which closed in negative territory.

On the Asian markets front, the Nikkei market closed in the positive zone, up by 237 points. Hang Seng closed up by 123 points. KOSPI, Shanghai Composite and Taiwan also closed on positive note. 

Buzzer: Reliance Infra was up more than 10% on the bourses today and closed near the technical level of Rs 400. If the stock opens above this level, it may touch the Rs 420 mark in the next few sessions.

Nifty futures closed to give a bullish crossover at 6400 and also managed to close above this level. Thus indicating some more tops above this level.
