Rallis India Q4FY20 revenue up by 2 per cent YoY
Rallis India Limited, a subsidiary of Tata chemicals and a leading player in Indian crop protection industry, has declared its financial results for the quarter and year ended March 31, 2020.
The company’s consolidated revenue for the quarter-Q4FY20 came in at Rs 346.29 crore as against Rs 339.69 crore in the corresponding quarter last year, registering two per cent YoY increase.
The operating loss for the quarter came in at Rs 9.8 crore as against the operating profit of Rs 6.8 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.
PAT for the quarter came in at Rs 0.68 crore as against Rs 1.35 crore in the corresponding quarter last year, with YoY decline of 49.6 per cent.
Looking at the full year numbers i.e. for FY20, the revenue jumped by 14 per cent YoY to Rs 2,251.82 crore while, EBITDA grew by eight per cent YoY to 259.36 crore. Further, the company reported net profit of Rs 183.69 crore, up by 19 per cent YoY.
The company’s operations were interrupted at certain manufacturing facilities and depots, as a result of which, goods amounting to Rs 16.04 crore could not be dispatched to the domestic market. Further, international consignments were also interrupted due to the absence of transportation facilities in the last week of March 2020, which has resulted in the lower shipment of Rs 53.18 crore.
On the capacity expansion front, Metri WDG (300 MTPA) and Metri SC (600 KLPA) plants have been completed. However, capacity expansion at Dahej (Gujarat) slightly delayed amid COVID-19 lockdown.
Today, the stock of Rallis India opened at Rs 207, down by seven per cent from its previous close of Rs 223.65 on the BSE.
